Poconos Mountain Festivals, NASCAR races, and other events

January - Learn to ski day at various locations throughout the Poconos. This event occurs during the first week of January. For about $10 dollars folks new to ths sport can learn to ski. Watch new news or this space for more details.

February - Ice Tee Golf Tournament on Lake Wallenpaupack. Golf 9 holes on frozen Lake Wallenpaupack.

March - Beach Party Weekend at Camelback Ski Resort. During the second weekend in March, join us in the lounge and on the slopes for skiing in shorts, summer drinks, and bathing suits in the bar. Camelback's sister city (Ocean City, NJ) sends sand, life boats and sometimes the Ocean Patrol to convert the lounge area into a Beach Party. Squirt guns have geen banned! (Probably cause they were to000oo much fun)

St Patrick's Day Parade - from Stroudsburg High School to Dansbury Depot. The Sunday after St Patrick's day. Mrching bands, fire Departments and Politicians.

Great Brews of America Beer Festival - Split Rock Resort The 10th Annual Great Brews From Around The World International Beer Festival, scheduled to take place in April , 2008 from 1PM to 5PM. This indoor event will feature 30 of the world's finest breweries, along with fabulous music and crafts. Food purveyors offering international menus will also be in attendance, and seminars related to International beer topics will be featured.

Poconos Greatest Celtic Festival Saturday, May, 2008& Sunday, May, 2008You don't have to be Irish to enjoy the Poconos Celtic Music Festival at Jack Frost Mountain. This music festival is a hodgepodge of a Celtic summer music festival and an Irish fair, complete with lots of singing, dancing, and specialty foods. Enjoy the crowds and atmosphere at this unique Irish & Celtic music festival.

Poconos Wine and Food Festival Saturday and Sunday, June 2008 from 12-6PM, The 17th Annual Great Tastes of Pennsylvania Wine and Food Festival - The two day outdoor festival, held from 12 to 6pm on the grounds of Split Rock Resort located in beautiful Lake Harmony, will feature continuous musical entertainment on three separate stages, up to 30 of Pennsylvania's finest wineries and a wide selection of food vendors to tempt your tastebuds. Educational Seminars will be held during the Festival so check them out and learn some new things about wine.Split Rock also offers a weekend package for our overnight guests. Each Festival attendee will receive a commemorative wine tasting glass, and you must be over 21 to be served.

Celebration of the Arts Festival - Delaware Water Gap, PA Friday - Sunday - September , 2008"I have a dream, that musicians will be known in the Delaware Water Gap, like the trees are known.
