Poconos Greatest Irish Festival Memorial Day Weekend, May Jack Frost Mountain. Celebrate Northeastern Pennsylvania’s and our nation’s rich Irish heritage with music; ethnic food; specialty vendors; and lots of singing, dancing, and major merriment. With the resurgence of interest in Celtic music and culture, this is a perfect opportunity to learn more about that musical genre. The Green forests of the Poconos are reminicent of the Green Hill of Irland. Come Experience the Green. Festival starts at 1 p.m. both days. Holy Mass is celebrated at 12 noon on Sunday. There is also a children’s tent featuring crafts, magic and storytelling.
