It is important to note that there are many fine medical professionals in The Poconos, we have included here those found by our staff and researchers to be outstanding. We have not included any we have direct knowledge as sub par. Like the Dentist who drilled a hole through the tongue of the wife of a staff member or the most sued Podiatrist in the history of Monroe County.

Research for these picks was, in most cases, a combination of direction interaction with the physician by at least one staff member or researcher AND research into the physicians education and experience. We have listed the date the physician enter into the chosen field not the date the physician first started practice. Some physicians listed have been practicing longer than it appears.

There were some difficult decisions made with 1 or 2 selections. The staff and researchers found more experienced or educated professionals than the selections, but were deterred by a physician's, attitude toward their profession or patients, lack of bedside manner as in an inability to communicate with the patient on a level that most would find acceptable or lack of accessibility (semi retired, too busy with other interests like real estate holdings or stock portfolios).
